debriefing.
make yourself comfortable,
the darker the better,
the lonelier the better,
thinking will always be an individual exercise.

late nights are made
for lonesome thinking
(among other trivial fucking)

if you believe hard enough,
it doesn't make it true.
you may feel that connecting the dots
is all up to you. what if they are
intrinsically related,
what if you are one of them?

what’s the result of that effort?
where does belief go?
every time you shed a tear,
where does the joy go?
when you get kicked hard in the stomach,
where does naivety go?
every time you feel trapped
where does freedom go?
when anxiety kicks in
where does serotonin go?

but tonight
is not the night you’ll
find the answers you
keep searching for
and therefore
like Arthur’s mom told him all his life:
put on a happy face.
